After a late start on the day after trying to get Cole a new phone, we headed out to the notorious Tortilla Flat. A small unincorporated community in far eastern Maricopa County, Arizona, just northeast of Apache Junction. It is the last surviving stagecoach stop along the Apache Trail where miners, settlers, and travelers would resupply and let their animals rest as they continued on their journey west. It is just 53 miles from Phoenix, about an hour drive! After that, we head over to the gold field ghost town for a walk down main street and a quick tour of some historic buildings. From there we meet up with C-Bear in Cave Creek to end the night having a good time with friends!
